What are the tracks and policies surrounding English proficiency?Policy Graduate College/Council Policy requires that applicants to graduate study who are not U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents to the U.S., and for whom English is not the native language, must demonstrate English proficiency. English proficiency may be demonstrated through valid scores fulfilling one of the following options:
Applicants meeting one, or more, of the above conditions are eligible for Unconditional Admission. However, they may not be eligible to receive graduate appointment or fellowship awards. To become eligible for assistantships or fellowships, applicants must meet one of the following:

Why is it taking so long for the record to move bins?Applications move from bin to bin via a set of rules that run inside of Slate, and they can take up to 10-15 minutes to process. If there is ever an application that you expect to see in a specific bin, and it has been longer than 30 minutes since it was last moved, please contact the Slate Application Administration team at: grad.slate.admin@ohio.edu. Why is my account inactive?Every 90 days inactive users are deactivated. If this occurs and you need to reactivate your access, submit the Request/Update user access form above. |
